Archers are ranged players. They use their bows and arrows to deal damage from afar and can be quite accurate if controlled by a skilled player. While each arrow only removes one Health, a constant rain of arrows can pin Soldiers in position and pick off Builders from afar (especially because Builders often need to be zoomed in and may not be aware of their surroundings). Archers spawn with a finite number of arrows and can run out quite quickly but they can harvest wood from trees to add more arrows to their inventory or scavenge more off fallen archers around the battlefield (always make sure to press [e] to loot fallen enemies and see if they have anything useful). To fire an arrow, press and hold the right mouse button; holding the button for longer will fire the arrow longer and faster. Arrows lose velocity and begin dropping quite quickly, so you'll often need to aim a bit higher than your target. Archers cannot dig stone or gold, nor can they break down doors or ladders, but they can dig through dirt.

King Arthur's Gold is a PvP KotH/CTF game, played in a sprite-based 2D world made from block tiles to form mountains, caves, valleys and more.

Players are separated into two teams - Red and Blue - and pitted against each other in a race to gather the most gold; the first team to reach a set amount of gold is the winner of the match. Gold can be mined in caves or stolen from the opposing team. Players score points by killing opposing players and returning mined gold to their own teams' bags. When you have collected gold via mining or scavenging off players, you can place it into one of your team's bags by approaching it and pressing [e]. If you plan to steal your way to victory, you must find the opposing team's gold bags, press [e] to pick them up, and return them to your own Tent (spawn point).

There are three classes in King Arthur's Gold: Soldier, Archer, and Builder. Each class has different abilities, making each class appropriate for different situations. Cycle through the classes by pressing the [f] key in front of your team's Tent. You can also recover any lost health and equipment by returning to your Team's tent and cycling through the classes until you reach your desired class again.

The Soldier is a combat-focused, close range class. He carries a shield and sword along with bombs which explode in four directions in the style of the Bomberman games. Bombs are thrown by pressing the [f] key; tap the key to simply drop the bomb or hold it to throw the bomb. Don't hold on for too long though, as the bomb will explode in your hands and kill you if you don't let go of the [f] key. Teammates are not damaged by bombs but any opposing player caught in the blast radius will be killed instantly. Soldiers can use their shields in two ways; they can simply hold the shield in front of them by holding down the right mouse button, blocking any arrows, attacks or blast damage coming at them. They also become a wall of sorts, able to push players of both teams with their shields. This can be dangerous for teammates who wish to retreat behind friendly Soldiers because, in a tight space, they won't be able to get around the Soldier. Soldiers can also hold the shield above their heads, which protects them from damage coming from above, but also turns them into a step for other players to jump on and over something. The sword does heavy damage to opposing players and can also dig slowly through dirt, stone, ladders, and doors.

Builders mine through materials like dirt and stone much quicker than any other class.
