There are three Classes to choose from, they can be switched over at any time at a Camp, this is the Tent Background Tile that you spawn, at the start and whenever you die for some reason. The Knight has a Shield and Sword to combat against others, along with Bombs which explode ala'Bomberman Style. They can be thrown or dropped depending on the amount of time the Action button is held for that, well, action. Team Mates will not be damaged from the bombs, but any opposing player will be killed instantly. The Knight is also able to use their shields in a couple of ways. By holding their shield in front of them, they can block any arrows, attacks or blast damage coming at them, they also become a wall of sorts, able to push players of both teams with their shield. Dangerous for team mates who wish to retreat behind their shields because they now can't pass. The Knight can also hold the shield above their head, which can protect them from damage coming from above, but can also turn themselves into a step for other players to jump on and over something. With his sword the Soldier can Mine himself but at a slower pace of a Builder, but they can Dig through Stone, Ladders and Doors...

There are three classes in King Arthur's Gold: Soldier, Archer, and Builder. Each class has different abilities, making each class appropriate for different situations. The Archer is the Ranged player, they use their Bows and Arrows to deal damage from afar and with good accuracy if skilled enough. While each arrow only removes one Health, constant rain of arrows can pin Knights in position, pick off miners from afar due to the need of the player to zoom in and unaware of their surroundings and to pick off anyone who is not ready. An Archer can run out of Ammo quite quickly, so they will need to be quick on harvesting wood from trees to make their arrows or scavenge more off fallen archers around the battlefield. The distance an arrow will fly will be accounted to the amount of time the [RMB] is held down and the amount that it will fall will be from the angle it is lifted, so you will need to aim higher to hit something further. The Archer can not dig stone or gold, nor can they break down Doors or Ladders but they can dig through Soil...

The Soldier is a combat-focused, close range class. He carries a shield and sword along with bombs which explode in four directions in the style of the Bomberman games. Bombs are thrown by pressing the [f] key; tap the key to simply drop the bomb or hold it to throw the bomb. Don't hold on for too long though, as the bomb will explode in your hands and kill you if you don't let go of the [f] key.  Teammates are not damaged by bombs but any opposing player caught in the blast radius will be killed instantly. Soldiers can use their shields in two ways; they can simply hold the shield in front of them by holding down the right mouse button, blocking any arrows, attacks or blast damage coming at them. They also become a wall of sorts, able to push players of both teams with their shields. This can be dangerous for teammates who wish to retreat behind friendly Soldiers because, in a tight space, they won't be able to get around the Soldier. Soldiers can also hold the shield above their heads, which protects them from damage coming from above, but also turns them into a step for other players to jump on and over something. The sword does heavy damage to opposing players and can also dig slowly through dirt, stone, ladders, and doors.

The Builder can make or break a Team. They present both the Goal hunter and the Defense builder. The Builder is the only true miner because of his speed when mining. It is faster to gather gold and stone via a Builder due to that speed, but you are quite weak when it comes to combat unless in large mobs. The Builder is also the only Class that can place block which can be Ladders, Stone walls, Doors or even Catapult Pieces. They can also build Back walls which act as a way to build against a substance without building ladders or walls originally.

Archers are ranged players. They use their bows and arrows to deal damage from afar and can be quite accurate if controlled by a skilled player. While each arrow only removes one Health, a constant rain of arrows can pin Soldiers in position and pick off Builders from afar (especially because Builders often need to be zoomed in and may not be aware of their surroundings). Archers spawn with a finite number of arrows and can run out quite quickly but they can harvest wood from trees to add more arrows to their inventory or scavenge more off fallen archers around the battlefield (always make sure to press [e] to loot fallen enemies and see if they have anything useful). To fire an arrow, press and hold the right mouse button; holding the button for longer will fire the arrow longer and faster. Arrows lose velocity and begin dropping quite quickly, so you'll often need to aim a bit higher than your target. Archers cannot dig stone or gold, nor can they break down doors or ladders, but they can dig through dirt.

King Arthur's Gold is a PvP KotH/CTF game, played in a sprite-based 2D world made from block tiles to form mountains, caves, valleys and more.

Players are separated into two teams - Red and Blue - and pitted against each other in a race to gather the most gold; the first team to reach a set amount of gold is the winner of the match. Gold can be mined in caves or stolen from the opposing team. Players score points by killing opposing players and returning mined gold to their own teams' bags. When you have collected gold via mining or scavenging off players, you can place it into one of your team's bags by approaching it and pressing [e]. If you plan to steal your way to victory, you must find the opposing team's gold bags, press [e] to pick them up, and return them to your own Tent (spawn point).

There are three classes in King Arthur's Gold: Soldier, Archer, and Builder. Each class has different abilities, making each class appropriate for different situations. Cycle through the classes by pressing the [f] key in front of your team's Tent. You can also recover any lost health and equipment by returning to your Team's tent and cycling through the classes until you reach your desired class again.

Builders are an important component of any team. They pursue the ultimate goal of the game (accumulating gold) and build their teams' defenses. Builders mine through materials like dirt and stone much quicker than any other class. The tradeoff is that Builders are far weaker in combat than Archers or Soldiers, with only their low-damage pickaxes to fend off enemies. Builders can a variety of blocks of various purposes, including ladders, stone walls, doors or even catapult pieces. These blocks require materials (stone and wood) which can be acquired by mining or cutting down trees. Builders can also build back walls which act as a way to build against a substance without building ladders or walls originally.
