The default amounts are: Knight - Two bubbles Builder - Five bubbles Archer - Seven bubbles If you run out of air you will start losing health and eventually drown. Almost anything will float on the surface on the water, example thrown bombs will float and slowly move to the thrown direction. More often you have to build bridges to get over lakes, but its not always necessary.
