The archer is a skilled warrior in ranged combat, using a bow to rain death from afar. He initially carries 12 arrows with him, but he has the ability to make his own arrows out of trees amidst combat.

• [Left click] - Aim, click and hold, release to shoot
• [Right click] - Make arrows from trees, pick up arrows from the ground, destroy dirt blocks

Gameplay tips:

• Archers can only destroy dirt blocks, making them ill suited for leading raids.

• Archers cannot damage themselves or teammates with arrows.

• Archers are slower and can’t jump with a fully drawn bow.

• The faster an arrow flies the more damage it inflicts, to a maximum of 1 1/2 hearts.

• A fully drawn arrow (the progress bar flashes) inflicts knock-back and breaks a knight's shield block for a moment, stunning him and allowing allies to attack.

• Archers can scale walls using fired arrows as makeshift ladders. Fire at a wall while jumping to quickly scale it.

• Pressing down [S] causes the Archer to lay flat on the ground. Use it to hide in bushes for an ambush or feign death.
