The API is being implemented in its most basic form correctly, but there is a massive amount of functionality being planned - and a design which allows for even more future functionality.
If there is a feature you would like to see in the API, please contact FliesLikeABrick at ryan@u13.net or PM him on the forums. This includes features not yet described, as well as if you would like to +1 a feature mentioned somewhere in this documentation or elsewhere. Your feedback is important to how the API is developed and which features are given priority.
