The archer is a skilled warrior in ranged combat, using a bow to rain death from afar. He initially carries no arrows with him, but he has the ability to make his own arrows out of trees amidst combat. He can also buy more arrows at an Arrow Workshop.

• [Left click] - Aim, click and hold, release to shoot
• [Right click] - Make arrows from trees, pick up arrows from the ground, destroy dirt blocks
• [W] - The archer drops to the ground making him harder to target for enemy archers, and he can also look like dead to naive players.
• [S] (on a tree) - The archer has learned to climb trees to get a better view of the battlefield, hide himself from enemies and snipe them without getting noticed.

Gameplay tips:

• Archers can only destroy dirt blocks, making them ill suited for leading raids.

• Archers cannot damage themselves or teammates with arrows.

• Archers are slower and can’t jump with a fully drawn bow.

• The faster an arrow flies the more damage it inflicts, to a maximum of 1 1/2 hearts.

• A fully drawn arrow (the progress bar flashes) inflicts knock-back and breaks a knight's shield block for a moment, stunning him and allowing allies to attack.

• Archers can scale walls using fired arrows as makeshift ladders. Fire at a wall while jumping to quickly scale it.

• Pressing down [S] causes the Archer to lay flat on the ground. Use it to hide in bushes for an ambush, feign death or make yourself harder to target.

• Climb trees to get a safe spot when defending your castle.
