Archer
The Archer is a skilled warrior in ranged combat, using a bow to rain death from afar. The archer does not start with any arrows by default (unless enabled by the server), but has the ability to make them from trees or to buy them from an arrow workshop.
- [Left click] - Aim, click and hold, release to shoot.
- [Right click] - Knife. The knife is an extremely short melee weapon, it will deal 1/4 heart of damage if it hits the front of an enemy, and 3 hearts of damage if it hit the back. The knife can also be used to make arrows out of trees.
- [S] - The archer drops to the ground making him harder to target for enemy archers; this is also a method to play dead, as enemy players can walk right past him if not paying attention.
- [W] (on a tree) - The archer can climb trees to get a better view of the battlefield, hide himself among the foliage, and snipe enemies from a different vantage point.
- [F] - Tap to quickly switch between arrow types. Hold to access the inventory and pick the arrow specifically.
Bow
The bow is the archer's weapon of choice. It requires arrows as ammunition.
Aim with cursor by pressing left mouse. Holding the left mouse button will charge your bow. If you do not charge your bow your arrow will only go a few blocks and deal minimal damage. Charging the bow to the second level will make the arrow go considerably farther and deal a good amount of damage. Charging to the third level will make your arrows travel their maximum distance and deal a considerable amount of damage. Continuing to charge the bow after the third level will reset the charge, forcing you to start again.
Arrows
Arrows are one of the items of the game. They are used as ammunition by the archer, who can make them by chopping a tree (by right-clicking it). This yields one arrow for every hit, each tree segment holding a potential three arrows. Otherwise they can be obtained by buying them at an arrow workshop. It costs 1 coin per arrow, and each use spends ten coins at a time. Arrows stuck in terrain, buildings, or players can be taken by right-clicking. When an archer is killed, he will drop half the number of arrows in his inventory, and will respawn with the number of arrows for an archer (depending on server variables).
An arrow stuck in a wall at a roughly horizontal position can be used as a temporary ladder for archers to jump on, which allows them to climb over high structures. Archers can only carry a maximum of 250 arrows at once.

Gameplay Tips
- On most servers, archers cannot damage themselves or teammates with arrows. They can, however, damage workshops, catapults or outposts used by enemy team. 10 coins are awarded for hitting a catapult or outpost, while 5 coins are awarded for hitting a workshop.
- Archers are slower and don't jump as high when charging a shot, but jumping when releasing the shot will increase the height of the arrow.
- The faster an arrow flies the more damage it inflicts, to a maximum of 1.5 hearts.
- Despite the red charge area being fairly big there are no variations in arrow speed between the beginning of the red charge and the end of the red charge. There are only 3 different levels of base speed and range.
- A fully drawn arrow (yellow circle around the cursor) breaks a Knight's shield block for a moment, stunning him and allowing allies to attack. This tactic is useful against fortified enemies, especially if you can manage to synchronize with another Archer.
- Fire arrows at a wall while jumping against it to quickly scale it.
- Archers can only destroy dirt blocks, making them less suited for leading raids than the other classes. But because they can quick-climb walls using arrow-ladders, they may be able to climb an enemy tower before a builder can get a ladder up or destroy team doors, and suppress the enemy while reinforcements arrive.
- Laying prone with [S] allows the archer to hide in bushes for an ambush, feign death, or avoid being targeted. Enemies do not collide with the archer when lying down.
- Climb trees to get a safe spot when defending your castle.
- Because the archer is able to collect fired arrows by right clicking, it is also possible to 'catch' arrows mid flight, but is very difficult to achieve due to latency and arrow speed.
- When making arrows from trees, every right-click makes one arrow. Right-clicking when climbing the tree stuns the archer.
- If any knight/builder hits a tree while an archer is on it, it causes the archer to fall. Jumping from tree to tree can help to avoid this.
- Archers can add/remove momentum from their shots if they move towards/away from the direction they are shooting.
- Since Build 572 archers are able to stomp. To do that, you must fall down on enemy up from at least 6 blocks height, causing the to enemy take damage & stun for a short duration. The stomp damage is dependent of height. If you attempt to stomp a knight shielding upwards, you will lose a heart and get stunned, while the knight will get only stunned.
- While it may not seem readily obvious, archers can be very deadly underground in the company of knights and builders, supplying suppressing fire to allow your team to advance.
