Stone is one of the main resources in the game. It is required to build some blocks and can be used by the builder to construct various structures. Builders will pick up stone automatically. When they walk over a pile of stone, it will enter their inventory. Archers and knights cannot put stone into their inventory, but can pick up and carry the stone piles by pressing the drop and pickup key. A builder can use this to pick up additional stone after his inventory is filled.

Stone is used as the primary ammo for catapults. A player can load stones into the catapult from his inventory, 100 stone at a time. It is impossible to load a catapult with a pile that you are carrying, because it will consider the stack an item.

Obtaining stone

  • Stone is gathered by knights and builders through mining of rock which gives you 2 stone per hit and thick rock which gives you 4 stone per hit.
  • Breaking a block of rubble will drop 5 smaller boulders, each of which yield 3 stone for builders.
  • Builders get 10 stone from breaking castle wall or spikes, and knights and builders get 2 stone for breaking castle back wall. The stone is only given when the blocks are fully destroyed.
  • The maximum amount of stone that may be stored in the inventory is 250. You can still pick up additional stone in the form of material stacks.
  • In CTF, builders will normally spawn with some stone during the build phase,

Building

Stone, together with wood, forms the basis for all structures that a builder can create. Stone creations can only be broken by other builders, or explosives. Even with builders, a castle wall will take 7 long hits to break, so it provides the best defense against enemies. Stone back walls are essential for supporting buildings. Traps that use spikes also require stone.

Tips

  • You can block enemy tunnels effectively using stones.
  • It is a good idea to build over enemy pits to nullify them.
  • Stone is great for quickly blocking enemy doorways.
  • Even though stone is very durable, it is best to maintain your structures by repairing the blocks often.
  • Stone can be mined most efficiently from thick rock
